Friday, Kevin and I drove up to Niagara Falls, ON to celebrate my sister Betsy’s graduation (Summa cum laude!) We had a very nice time of it, the weather was beautiful most of the weekend, Kevin and I made a little $$$ at the casinos, we ate some good meals - and we got to get away for a breather. Unfortunately, I caught a nasty cold that started Friday night, and got progressively worse. So I wasn’t up to much socializing, and spent Sunday pretty much comatose.
But we all got to go out for dinner together Friday night, and it was a riot. We went to Copacabana, a Brazilian rodizho style place. For those that don’t know, this is an all you can eat type deal, with a large variety of meats put on spits, grilled and brought to your table and carved on the spot. Beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, sausages… etc. Very tasty and a fun way to dine. Plus, we got to sit outside on the patio and listen to a pretty darn good (if a touch too loud) band playing all sorts of Latin music. Ah, and then there were the Carnivale style dancing girls. Wearing huge feathered headresses, beaded thongs - and not much else. At that point, you could have fed the menfolk wood chips and they wouldn’t have cared.
